Structural Steel Mezzanine Materials

We use a variety of different types of structural steel as classified by ASTM international standards. The types of structural steel we use in our custom mezzanines include:

• A992, a high strength steel for I-beams
• A36, a common steel for flats, angles, and channels
• A500, which is commonly used for square and rectangle HSS (Hollow Structural Section)

These standards of steel are used to construct the integral structural components of a solid mezzanine system. In addition, they provide for sturdy access points, stairwells, and other custom additions to allow easy foot access to the platform.
